. I love Scifi whether in book, video or imagery format. I have noticed, though, that sceneries, especially urban,  have been tired or rundown looking. Example, the galactic capital, Coruscant and Trantor, was looking 20th century concrete and plaster in their depictions. At such an advance stage of human development, I would have expected more attractive looking buildings or structures. More cyrstallic or fractallic in outer surfaces? Alhambra, Samarkand, Hall of Mirrors at Versailles, Malachite Room of the Winter Palace of the Leningrad Palace, Borobodu are some that comes to mind. Symmetry, crystal.
